Bio
Dr. Gregory D. Miller
Gregory is Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Oklahoma. He earned BAs (1996) in Political Science and History from the University of California, Los Angeles, and began studying terrorism as a graduate student at the George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs, where he received an MA (1998) in Security Policy Studies with a minor in Political Violence and Terrorism. During the Fall 2001 quarter he began teaching courses on terrorism at the Ohio State University, where he earned an MA (2000) and Ph.D. (2004) in Political Science.
As a doctoral student, Gregory taught at The Ohio State University and at Columbus State Community College. He also taught for two years at the College of William & Mary, and is completing his second year at the University of Oklahoma. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Terrorism, and in Fall 2008 will begin teaching an undergraduate course on the History of Terrorism. He also regularly teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in International Security, US Foreign Policy, and International Relations Theory. He is also developing a Minor in Terrorism Studies for the University of Oklahoma.
He has published in the journals Security Studies and Terrorism & Political Violence and has several projects underway related to both terrorism and international security more generally.
